A great opportunity for a First Mate to join a 35m private MY based in the Mediterranean. This is a hands-on role on with structured, low-key owner usage and a strong focus on maintaining high standards onboard.
The role:
• Predominantly deck-focused position working closely with the Deckhand on all exterior operations.
• Maintain high standards across deck maintenance, including painting and general upkeep.
• Support navigation and assist on the bridge, with opportunities to gain drive time where possible.
• Minimal administrative workload, with a practical, hands-on daily structure.
• Private, Med-based program with low-key owner usage.
• Start date: by the end of May (ideally).
• Male candidates only due to cabin arrangements.
What we’re looking for:
• Yachtmaster minimum (essential), ideally working towards OOW modules.
• Experience as a Mate on a similar-sized vessel or a strong Bosun from a 50m ready to step up.
• Solid painting and maintenance skills.
